About Seychelle Water Filters
Enjoy great tasting water instantly filtered as you drink. The Ionic-Adsorption Micro-Filtration System is an entire water filtration plant within a portable bottle.
The patented Ionic-Adsorption Micro-Filtration instantly reduces up to 99.99% of the following zones of contamination:
- Aesthetics: unpleasant taste, odours, chlorine, and dirt
- Biological: pathogens such as cryptosporidium, giardia & other cysts and spores.
- Chemicals: toxic chemicals, detergents, pesticides and other harmful industrial and agricultural wastes.
- Dissolved Solids: heavy metals such as aluminum, asbestos, copper, lead, mercury, chromium 6 and others.
Seychelle's Ionic Adsorption Micron Filters are the most laboratory and field-tested in the world using EPA/ANSI protocols and NSF Standards 42 and 53.
Seychelle Standard Filter
The Standard filter is ideal for any in or out-door use; traveling, hiking, biking, camping, fishing or for emergency purposes. It can be used with any type of fresh water source; tap or rainwater, rivers, streams or even lakes (excluding salt water).
It removes up to 99.99% of contaminants and pollutants found in fresh water supplies including Aesthetics such as Chlorine, sediment, tastes and odours; Biologicals such as Giardia, Cryptosporidium, E-Coli Bacteria; Chemicals (VOC’S) such as DDT, MTBE, Benzene, Chloroforms (THM'S); and Dissolved Solids (Heavy metals) such as Arsenic, Lead, Mercury, Copper, Zinc, Aluminum and Chromium 6.
Our Standard filters include the Stainless Steel Filter Bottles and the 500ml Sports Bottle.
Seychelle Advanced Filter
The Advanced filter is made of the same media as the Standard filter above but with the addition of EPA approved iodinated resin barrier (EPA Reg #: 35917-2) which has been proven effective in the removal of bacteria and virus to six logs (99.9999%). The advanced filter is both a filter and a purifier. There is no need for waiting time or added drops.
Our Advanced filters include the 800ml Flip-top and 650ml Pull-top Plastic Bottle, the Military Canteen, Emergency Straw and In-line Hydration Filter. The Advanced Filter is recommended for travelling to third world countries.
Filter Capacity
Seychelle filters deliver up to 380 litres of great-tasting, clean water before replacing. The time to replace any filter is when the water flow becomes greatly diminished, and it is difficult to squeeze it through the filter bottle. The filters should not be used with salt water.
Maintenance
Seychelle filters have an indefinite shelf life. For prolonged storage, follow these simple steps:
- Fill the bottle with chlorinated water. Run this through the system and then rinse and flush with filtered water.
- Allow the bottle/filter assembly to dry overnight unassembled.
- Re-assemble the bottle/filter.
You may now store the product for any length of time.
How It Works
Seychelle have created a uniform 2-micron absolute pore size for the assured reduction and removal of the above contaminants. The high-tech porous plastic micro-filter is impregnated with both the finest granulated activated coconut Carbon available and Seychelle's exclusive adsorbing media for superior analyte removal capability.
In addition, the controlled 2-micron filter contains thousands of Omni-directional pores that result in a "tortuous path" for superior analyte reduction. Seychelle's exclusive Ionic-Adsorption Micro-Filtration coordinates all processes of contaminant reduction by Adsorption, Absorption, chemical bonding, chelation, and depth filtration.
All Seychelle filters are extensively tested by only the highest quality, independent state approved laboratories certified to test under the strictest EPA/ANSI protocols and NSF Standards 42 and 53.
